Proverbs 23
When 1 Consider diligently him that is before thee; 1
And 1 If thou be a man given to appetite. 1
Be 1 Seeing they are deceitful food. 1
Weary 1 Cease from thine own wisdom. 1
Wilt thou 1 For riches certainly make themselves wings, 1 Like an eagle that flieth toward heaven. 1
Eat 1 Neither desire thou his dainties: 1
For 1 Eat and drink, saith he to thee; 1 But his heart is not with thee. 1
The 1 And lose thy sweet words. 1
Speak 1 For he will despise the wisdom of thy words. 1
Remove 1 And enter not into the fields of the fatherless: 1
For 1 He will plead their cause against thee. 1
Apply thy heart 1 And thine ears to the words of knowledge. 1
Withhold 1 For if thou beat him with the rod, he will not die. 1
Thou shalt beat 1 And shalt deliver his soul from Sheol. 1
My 1 My heart will be glad, even mine: 1
Yea, my 1 When thy lips speak right things. 1
Let not 1 But be thou in the fear of Jehovah all the day long: 1
For 1 And thy hope shall not be cut off. 1
Hear 1 And guide thy heart in the way. 1
Be 1 Among gluttonous eaters of flesh: 1
For 1 And drowsiness will clothe a man with rags. 1
Hearken 1 And despise not thy mother when she is old. 1
Buy 1 Yea, wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. 1
The 1 And he that begetteth a wise child will have joy of him. 1
Let 1 And let her that bare thee rejoice. 1
My 1 And let thine eyes delight in my ways. 1
For 1 And a foreign woman is a narrow pit. 1
Yea, she 1 And increaseth the treacherous among men. 1
Who 1 Who hath complaining? who hath wounds without cause? 1 Who hath redness of eyes? 1
They 1 They that go to seek out mixed wine. 1
Look 1 When it sparkleth in the cup, 1 When it goeth down smoothly: 1
At 1 And stingeth like an adder. 1
Thine 1 And thy heart shall utter perverse things. 1
Yea, thou 1 Or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast. 1
They 1 They have beaten me, and I felt it not: 1 When shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.
