Job · KJV Cambridge Paragraph

Job 26

But Job answered and said, 1

How hast thou helped him that is without power? 1 How savest thou the arm that hath no strength? 1

How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? 1 And how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is? 1

To whom hast thou uttered words? 1 And whose spirit came from thee? 1

Dead things are formed 1 From under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof. 1

Hell is naked before him, 1 And destruction hath no covering. 1

He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, 1 And hangeth the earth upon nothing. 1

He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; 1 And the cloud is not rent under them. 1

He holdeth back the face of his throne, 1 And spreadeth his cloud upon it. 1

He hath compassed the waters with bounds, 1 Until the day and night come to an end. 1

The pillars of heaven tremble 1 And are astonished at his reproof. 1

He divideth the sea with his power, 1 And by his understanding he smiteth through the proud. 1

By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; 1 His hand hath formed the crooked serpent. 1

Lo, these are parts of his ways: 1 But how little a portion is heard of him? 1 But the thunder of his power who can understand?
