Job 37
1At this also my heart trembleth, 1 And is moved out of his place. 1
2Hear attentively the noise of his voice, 1 And the sound that goeth out of his mouth. 1
3He directeth it under the whole heaven, 1 And his lightning unto the ends of the earth. 1
4After it a voice roareth: 1 He thundereth with the voice of his excellency; 1 And he will not stay them when his voice is heard. 1
5God thundereth marvellously with his voice; 1 Great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend. 1
6For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; 1 Likewise to the small rain, 1 And to the great rain of his strength. 1
7He sealeth up the hand of every man; 1 That all men may know his work. 1
8Then the beasts go into dens, 1 And remain in their places. 1
9Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: 1 And cold out of the north. 1
10By the breath of God frost is given: 1 And the breadth of the waters is straitened. 1
11Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: 1 He scattereth his bright cloud: 1
12And it is turned round about by his counsels: 1 That they may do whatsoever he commandeth them 1 Upon the face of the world in the earth. 1
13He causeth it to come, whether for correction, 1 Or for his land, or for mercy. 1
14Hearken unto this, O Job: 1 Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God. 1
15Dost thou know when God disposed them, 1 And caused the light of his cloud to shine? 1
16Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, 1 The wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge? 1
17How thy garments are warm, 1 When he quieteth the earth by the south wind? 1
18Hast thou with him spread out the sky, 1 Which is strong, and as a molten looking glass? 1
19Teach us what we shall say unto him; 1 For we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness. 1
20Shall it be told him that I speak? 1 If a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up. 1
21And now men see not the bright light 1 Which is in the clouds: 1 But the wind passeth, and cleanseth them. 1
22Fair weather cometh out of the north: 1 With God is terrible majesty. 1
23Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, 1 And in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. 1
24Men do therefore fear him: 1 He respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
