Job 13
1See, mine eye hath seen all this, 1 mine ozen hath heard and understood it. 1
2What ye know, of the same I have da'as also; 1 I am not inferior unto you. 1
3Surely I would speak to Shaddai, 1 and I desire to reason with El (G-d). 1
4But ye are forgers of sheker, 1 ye are all rofim (physicians) of no value. 1
5O that ye would altogether hold your peace! 1 And it should be your chochmah. 1
6Hear now my tokhachat (protest, public argumentation), 1 and pay heed to the pleadings of my lips. 1
7Will ye talk wickedly on behalf of El (G-d) 1 and speak deceitfully for Him? 1
8Will ye be partial to Him? 1 Will ye play the part of the defense attorney for El? 1
9Is it hatov that He should search you out? 1 Or do you play the jester with Him, as one plays the jester with enosh? 1
10He will surely reprove you, 1 if ye do act with partiality beseter (secretly). 1
11Shall not His majesty make you afraid? 1 And the pachad of Him fall upon you? 1
12Your zichron meshalim (memorable sayings) are like unto ashes, 1 your defenses are strongholds of chomer (clay). 1
13Hold your peace, let me alone, that Ani (I) may speak, 1 and let come on me what will. 1
14Why do I take my basar in my teeth, 1 and take my nefesh in mine yad? 1
15Though He slay me, yet will I wait for and trust in Him; 1 but I will maintain my derech before Him. + 13:15 Isa 53:8,10 1
16He also shall be my Yeshu'ah (salvation); 1 for a chanef (irreligious man, hypocrite) shall not come before Him. 1
17Hear diligently my confession, 1 and my declaration with your oznayim. 1
18Hinei now, I have prepared my mishpat (cause, case); 1 I know that I shall be acquitted. 1
19Who is he that can contend against me? 1 For atah (now), if I hold my tongue, I shall expire. 1

23How many are mine avonot and chatta'ot? 1 Make me to know my peysha and my chattat. 1
24Lammah (why) hidest Thou Thy face, 1 and holdest me for Thine enemy? 1
25Wilt Thou frighten away a leaf driven to and fro? 1 And wilt Thou pursue the dry kash (straw, chaff)? 1
26For Thou writest down merorot (bitter things) against me, 1 and makest me to inherit the avonot of my neurim (youth). 1
27Thou puttest my feet also in the stocks, 1 and observest kol orkhot (paths, ways) of me; 1 Thou settest a mark upon the soles of my raglayim, 1
28Around one who wastes away as a rotten thing, 1 as a beged (garment) that is moth eaten.
