Isaiah 56
Thus saith the Lord, 1 Keep ye judgment, and do justice: 1 For my salvation is near to come, 1 And my righteousness to be revealed. 1
Blessed is the man that doeth this, 1 And the son of man that layeth hold on it; 1 That keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, 1 And keepeth his hand from doing any evil. 1
Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the Lord, speak, saying, 1 The Lord hath utterly separated me from his people: 1 Neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. 1
For thus saith the Lord unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, 1 And choose the things that please me, 1 And take hold of my covenant; 1
Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls 1 A place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: 1 I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. 1
Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, 1 To serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, 1 To be his servants, 1 Every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, 1 And taketh hold of my covenant; 1
Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, 1 And make them joyful in my house of prayer: 1 Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; 1 For mine house shall be called a house of prayer for all people. 1
The Lord God which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, 1 Yet will I gather others to him, besides those that are gathered unto him. 1
All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, 1 Yea, all ye beasts in the forest. 1
His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, 1 They are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; 1 Sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. 1
Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, 1 And they are shepherds that cannot understand: 1 They all look to their own way, 1 Every one for his gain, from his quarter. 1
Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, 1 And we will fill ourselves with strong drink; 1 And to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.
