Isaiah 62
For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, 1 And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, 1 Until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, 1 And the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. 1
And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, 1 And all kings thy glory: 1 And thou shalt be called by a new name, 1 Which the mouth of the Lord shall name. 1
Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, 1 And a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. 1
Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; 1 Neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: 1 But thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, 1 And thy land Beulah: 1 For the Lord delighteth in thee, 1 And thy land shall be married. 1
For as a young man marrieth a virgin, 1 So shall thy sons marry thee: 1 And as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, 1 So shall thy God rejoice over thee. 1
I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, 1 Which shall never hold their peace day nor night: 1 Ye that make mention of the Lord, 1 Keep not silence,
and give him no rest, 1 Till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth. 1
The Lord hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, 1 Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; 1 And the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured: 1
But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the Lord; 1 And they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness. 1
Go through, go through the gates; prepare you the way of the people; 1 Cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; 1 Lift up a standard for the people. 1
Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, 1 Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; 1 Behold, his reward is with him, 1 And his work before him. 1
And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: 1 And thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.
