Isaiah 55

Come, kol tzameh (all ye who are thirsty), come ye to the mayim 1 and he that hath no kesef; 1 come ye, buy, and eat; 1 yes, come, buy yayin and cholov 1 without kesef and without mekhir (price, cost). 1

Why do ye spend kesef for that which is not lechem? 1 And your labor for that which satisfieth not? 1 Pay heed diligently unto Me, and eat ye that which is tov, 1 and let your nefesh delight itself in deshen (the best food, the fat of the land). 1

Incline your ozen, and come unto Me; 1 hear, and your nefesh shall live; 1 and I will make with you a Brit Olam, 1 even the chasdei Dovid hane'emanim. + 55:3 See Ac 13:34 1

See, I have given him + 55:4 Moshiach, Ac 13:34 OJAC for an ed l'ummim (witness to the Nations), 1 a Nagid and Metzavveh (commander) for the Nations. 1

Behold, thou shalt summon a Goy (People) that thou knowest not, 1 and Goy that knew not thee shall run unto thee 1 l'ma'an (for the sake of) Hashem Eloheicha 1 and for Kadosh Yisroel; 1 for He hath glorified thee. 1

Seek ye Hashem while He may be found, 1 call ye upon Him while He is karov (near); 1

Let the rasha forsake his derech, 1 and the ish aven his machshevot; 1 and let him return unto Hashem, 1 and He will have rachamim upon him; 1 and to Eloheinu, for He will abundantly pardon. 1

For My machshevot are not your machshevot, 1 neither are the darkhei (ways) of you the darkhei of Me, saith Hashem. 1

For as Shomayim is higher than ha'aretz, 1 so are the darkhei of Me higher than the darkhei of you, 1 and My machshevot than your machshevot. 1

For as the geshem cometh down, 1 and the sheleg (snow) from Shomayim, 1 and returneth not to there, 1 but watereth ha'aretz, 1 and maketh it yield forth v'hitzmicha (and sprout, spring up; Tzemach), 1 that it may give zera to the zore'a (sower), 1 and lechem to the eater; 1

So shall My Davar (the Word of Hashem) be that goeth forth out of My mouth; 1 He shall not return unto Me reikam (empty, void) 1 but He + 55:11 the Davar Hashem, see Yn 1:1,14 shall do that which I please, 1 and He + 55:11 the Davar Hashem shall accomplish the purpose whereto I sent Him. 1

For ye shall go out with simcha, 1 and be led back with shalom; 1 the harim and the geva'ot (hills) 1 shall break forth into singing before you, 1 and kol atzei hasadeh shall clap their hands. 1

Instead of the thornbush shall come up the cypress, 1 and instead of the sirpad (nettle, prickly herb) shall come up the myrtle; 1 and it shall be to Hashem for a Shem, 1 for an ot olam lo yikaret (everlasting sign that shall not be cut off). + 55:13 See Dan 9:26
