Isaiah 57

The tzaddik perisheth, 1 and no ish layeth it to lev; 1 and anshei chesed are taken away, 1 none considering that the tzaddik is taken away 1 from the ra'ah (evil, calamity) to come. 1

He shall enter into shalom; 1 they shall rest in their mishkevot (couches, i.e., tombs), 1 each one walking in his nekhochah (uprightness, integrity, honesty). 1

But draw near to here, 1 ye bnei onenah (you children of a sorceress), 1 zera mena'ef (offspring of an adulterer) and she who plays the zonah. 1

At whom are you sneering? 1 Against whom make ye a wide mouth, 1 and draw out the leshon? 1 Are ye not yeledim of peysha (rebellion), 1 zera sheker? 1

Enflaming yourselves among + 57:5 cult prostitution and Ba'al sympathetic magic in worshipping fertility elim (oaks, big trees) 1 under every spreading tree, 1 slaughtering the yeladim in the valleys 1 under the clefts of the rocks? 1

Among the smooth stones of the wadi is thy chelek; 1 they are thy goral; 1 even to them + 57:6 the stone idols; see Jer 3:9 hast thou poured nesekh, 1 thou hast offered minchah. 1 For these [provocations], should I relent? 1

Upon a lofty and high har 1 hast thou set up thy mishkav (bed i.e., fertility rites); 1 there wentest thou up to offer zevach. 1

Behind the delet also and the mezuzah (doorpost) 1 hast thou set up thy zikron ([pornographic and idolatrous] memorial); 1 deserting Me, thou hast uncovered thyself, and art gone up; 1 thou hast enlarged thy mishkav (bed) 1 and cut + 57:8 a Brit for thee with them [a Brit]; 1 thou lovedst their mishkav (bed) 1 where thou hast looked on their yad. + 57:8 i.e., phallus 1

And thou wentest to Melech; + 57:9 i.e., the pagan g-d Molech, the deity of sacrificed offspring and abortions 1 with shemen thou didst increase thy perfumes, 1 and didst send thy + 57:9 political envoys far, 1 even down unto Sheol. 1

Thou art wearied in the length of thy derech; 1 yet saidst thou not: It is hopeless; 1 thou hast found the chayyat yad (life of hand, power) of thine; 1 therefore thou wast not faint. 1

And of whom hast thou dreaded or feared, 1 that thou hast lived a lie, 1 and hast not remembered Me, 1 nor laid it to thy lev (i.e., pondered it)? 1 Have not I held My peace me'olam (even from of old), 1 and thou fearest Me not? 1

I will preach thy tzedakah, 1 and thy ma'asim, that they shall not profit thee. 1

When thou criest for help, let thy + 57:13 idol kibutzim (heaps, collections) save thee; 1 but the ruach shall carry them all away; 1 hevel shall take them; 1 but he that putteth his trust in Me shall inherit eretz, 1 and shall inherit My Har Kodesh; 1

And shall say: 1 Build ye [a road], build ye [a road], prepare the Derech, 1 remove the michshol (stumblingblock, obstacle) 1 from the Derech Ami (the Way, Road of My People). 1

For thus saith the High and Exalted, 1 Shokhen Ad (the One Who abideth forever, i.e., Who inhabits eternity), Kadosh Shmo: 1 I dwell in marom v'kadosh (the high and holy place), 1 with him also that is of a contrite and lowly ruach, 1 to revive the ruach of the shefalim (humble, lowly ones) 1 and to revive the lev nidka'im (contrite of heart). 1

For I will not contend l'olam (forever), 1 neither will I lanetzach (always) be in wrath; 1 for the ruach (spirit) would grow faint before Me, 1 even the neshamot (souls) which I have made. 1

For the avon (iniquity) of his covetousness 1 was I in wrath, and struck him; + 57:17 the wicked 1 I hid, and was in wrath, 1 and he + 57:17 the wicked went on shovav (backsliding) 1 in the derech of his lev (heart). 1

I have seen the drakhim of him, + 57:18 the wicked 1 and will heal him; I will lead him also, 1 and restore nichumim (comforts) 1 unto him and to his avelim (mourners). 1

I create the [repentant] fruit of the lips; 1 Shalom, shalom to him that is far off, 1 and to him that is near, saith Hashem; 1 and I will heal him. 1

But the resha'im are like the troubled yam (sea), 1 when it cannot sheket (be quiet), 1 whose mayim cast up mire and mud. 1

There is no shalom, saith Elohai, 1 for the resha'im. + 57:21 T.N. For deliverance ministry fasting is a key weapon, one that is needed in spiritual warfare in the last days as we see people getting demonized and needing deliverance.
