Psalms 102
Hear my prayer, O Lord, 1 And let my cry come unto thee. 1
Hide not thy face from me 1 In the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: 1 In the day when I call answer me speedily. 1
For my days are consumed like smoke, 1 And my bones are burnt as a hearth. 1
My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; 1 So that I forget to eat my bread. 1
By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin. 1
I am like a pelican of the wilderness: 1 I am like an owl of the desert. 1
I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the housetop. 1
Mine enemies reproach me all the day; 1 And they that are mad against me are sworn against me. 1
For I have eaten ashes like bread, 1 And mingled my drink with weeping, 1
Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: 1 For thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down. 1
My days are like a shadow that declineth; 1 And I am withered like grass. 1
But thou, O Lord, shalt endure for ever; 1 And thy remembrance unto all generations. 1
Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: 1 For the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. 1
For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, 1 And favour the dust thereof. 1
So the heathen shall fear the name of the Lord, 1 And all the kings of the earth thy glory. 1
When the Lord shall build up Zion, 1 He shall appear in his glory. 1
He will regard the prayer of the destitute, 1 And not despise their prayer. 1
This shall be written for the generation to come: 1 And the people which shall be created shall praise the Lord. 1
For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; 1 From heaven did the Lord behold the earth; 1
To hear the groaning of the prisoner; 1 To loose those that are appointed to death; 1
To declare the name of the Lord in Zion, 1 And his praise in Jerusalem; 1
When the people are gathered together, 1 And the kingdoms, to serve the Lord. 1
He weakened my strength in the way; 1 He shortened my days. 1
I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: 1 Thy years are throughout all generations. 1
Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: 1 And the heavens are the work of thy hands. 1
They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: 1 Yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; 1 As a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: 1
But thou art the same, 1 And thy years shall have no end. 1
The children of thy servants shall continue, 1 And their seed shall be established before thee.
