Psalms 147
1Praise ye the Lord: 1 For it is good to sing praises unto our God; 1 For it is pleasant; and praise is comely. 1
2The Lord doth build up Jerusalem: 1 He gathereth together the outcasts of Israel. 1
3He healeth the broken in heart, 1 And bindeth up their wounds. 1
4He telleth the number of the stars; 1 He calleth them all by their names. 1
5Great is our Lord, and of great power: 1 His understanding is infinite. 1
6The Lord lifteth up the meek: 1 He casteth the wicked down to the ground. 1
7Sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving; 1 Sing praise upon the harp unto our God: 1
8Who covereth the heaven with clouds, 1 Who prepareth rain for the earth, 1 Who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains. 1
9He giveth to the beast his food, 1 And to the young ravens which cry. 1
10He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: 1 He taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man. 1
11The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, 1 In those that hope in his mercy. 1
12Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem; 1 Praise thy God, O Zion. 1
13For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; 1 He hath blessed thy children within thee. 1
14He maketh peace in thy borders, 1 And filleth thee with the finest of the wheat. 1
15He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: 1 His word runneth very swiftly. 1
16He giveth snow like wool: 1 He scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes. 1
17He casteth forth his ice like morsels: 1 Who can stand before his cold? 1
18He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: 1 He causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow. 1
19He sheweth his word unto Jacob, 1 His statutes and his judgments unto Israel. 1
20He hath not dealt so with any nation: 1 And as for his judgments, they have not known them. 1 Praise ye the Lord.
