Psalms 90
Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. 1
Before the mountains were brought forth, 1 Or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, 1 Even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. 1
Thou turnest man to destruction; 1 And sayest, Return, ye children of men. 1
For a thousand years in thy sight 1 Are but as yesterday when it is past, 1 And as a watch in the night. 1
Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: 1 In the morning they are like grass which groweth up. 1
In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; 1 In the evening it is cut down, and withereth. 1
For we are consumed by thine anger, 1 And by thy wrath are we troubled. 1
Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, 1 Our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. 1
For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: 1 We spend our years as a tale that is told. 1
The days of our years are threescore years and ten; 1 And if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, 1 Yet is their strength labour and sorrow; 1 For it is soon cut off, and we fly away. 1
Who knoweth the power of thine anger? 1 Even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath. 1
So teach us to number our days, 1 That we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. 1
Return, O Lord, how long? 1 And let it repent thee concerning thy servants. 1
O satisfy us early with thy mercy; 1 That we may rejoice and be glad all our days. 1
Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, 1 And the years wherein we have seen evil. 1
Let thy work appear unto thy servants, 1 And thy glory unto their children. 1
And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: 1 And establish thou the work of our hands upon us; 1 Yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
