Psalms 94
O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; 1 O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself. 1
Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: 1 Render a reward to the proud. 1
Lord, how long shall the wicked, 1 How long shall the wicked triumph? 1
How long shall they utter and speak hard things? 1 And all the workers of iniquity boast themselves? 1
They break in pieces thy people, O Lord, 1 And afflict thine heritage. 1
They slay the widow and the stranger, 1 And murder the fatherless. 1
Yet they say, The Lord shall not see, 1 Neither shall the God of Jacob regard it. 1
Understand, ye brutish among the people: 1 And ye fools, when will ye be wise? 1
He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? 1 He that formed the eye, shall he not see? 1
He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? 1 He that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know? 1
The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, 1 That they are vanity. 1
Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, 1 And teachest him out of thy law; 1
That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, 1 Until the pit be digged for the wicked. 1
For the Lord will not cast off his people, 1 Neither will he forsake his inheritance. 1
But judgment shall return unto righteousness: 1 And all the upright in heart shall follow it. 1
Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? 1 Or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity? 1
Unless the Lord had been my help, 1 My soul had almost dwelt in silence. 1
When I said, My foot slippeth; 1 Thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. 1
In the multitude of my thoughts within me 1 Thy comforts delight my soul. 1
Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, 1 Which frameth mischief by a law? 1
They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, 1 And condemn the innocent blood. 1
But the Lord is my defence; 1 And my God is the rock of my refuge. 1
And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, 1 And shall cut them off in their own wickedness; 1 Yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.
