Psalms 57
Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: 1 For my soul trusteth in thee: 1 Yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, 1 Until these calamities be overpast. 1
I will cry unto God most High; 1 Unto God that performeth all things for me. 1
He shall send from heaven, and save me 1 From the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. 1 God shall send forth his mercy and his truth. 1
My soul is among lions: 1 And I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, 1 Whose teeth are spears and arrows, 1 And their tongue a sharp sword. 1
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; 1 Let thy glory be above all the earth. 1
They have prepared a net for my steps; 1 My soul is bowed down: 1 They have digged a pit before me, 1 Into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah. 1
My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: 1 I will sing and give praise. 1
Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: 1 I myself will awake early. 1
I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: 1 I will sing unto thee among the nations. 1
For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, 1 And thy truth unto the clouds. 1
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: 1 Let thy glory be above all the earth.
