Psalms 118

O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: 1 Because his mercy endureth for ever. 1

Let Israel now say, 1 That his mercy endureth for ever. 1

Let the house of Aaron now say, 1 That his mercy endureth for ever. 1

Let them now that fear the Lord say, 1 That his mercy endureth for ever. 1

I called upon the Lord in distress: 1 The Lord answered me, and set me in a large place. 1

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: 1 What can man do unto me? 1

The Lord taketh my part with them that help me: 1 Therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me. 1

It is better to trust in the Lord 1 Than to put confidence in man. 1

It is better to trust in the Lord 1 Than to put confidence in princes. 1

All nations compassed me about: 1 But in the name of the Lord will I destroy them. 1

They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: 1 But in the name of the Lord I will destroy them. 1

They compassed me about like bees; 1 They are quenched as the fire of thorns: 1 For in the name of the Lord I will destroy them. 1

Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: 1 But the Lord helped me. 1

The Lord is my strength and song, 1 And is become my salvation. 1

The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: 1 The right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly. 1

The right hand of the Lord is exalted: 1 The right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly. 1

I shall not die, but live, 1 And declare the works of the Lord. 1

The Lord hath chastened me sore: 1 But he hath not given me over unto death. 1

Open to me the gates of righteousness: 1 I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord: 1

This gate of the Lord, 1 Into which the righteous shall enter. 1

I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, 1 And art become my salvation. 1

The stone which the builders refused 1 Is become the head stone of the corner. 1

This is the Lord’s doing; 1 It is marvellous in our eyes. 1

This is the day which the Lord hath made; 1 We will rejoice and be glad in it. 1

Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: 1 O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity. 1

Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: 1 We have blessed you out of the house of the Lord. 1

God is the Lord, which hath shewed us light: 1 Bind the sacrifice with cords, 1 Even unto the horns of the altar. 1

Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: 1 Thou art my God, I will exalt thee. 1

O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: 1 For his mercy endureth for ever.
