Psalms 52
Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? 1 The goodness of God endureth continually. 1
Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; 1 Like a sharp rasor, working deceitfully. 1
Thou lovest evil more than good; 1 And lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah. 1
Thou lovest all devouring words, 1 O thou deceitful tongue. 1
God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, 1 He shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, 1 And root thee out of the land of the living. Selah. 1
The righteous also shall see, and fear, 1 And shall laugh at him: 1
Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; 1 But trusted in the abundance of his riches, 1 And strengthened himself in his wickedness. 1
But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: 1 I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever. 1
I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: 1 And I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
