Psalms 8

O Lord our Lord, 1 How excellent is thy name in all the earth! 1 Who hast set thy glory above the heavens. 1

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength 1 Because of thine enemies, 1 That thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. 1

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, 1 The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 1

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? 1 And the son of man, that thou visitest him? 1

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, 1 And hast crowned him with glory and honour. 1

Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; 1 Thou hast put all things under his feet: 1

All sheep and oxen, 1 Yea, and the beasts of the field; 1

The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, 1 And whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. 1

O Lord our Lord, 1 How excellent is thy name in all the earth!
