Psalms 122

1I was glad when they said unto me, 1 Let us go into the house of the Lord. 1

2Our feet shall stand 1 Within thy gates, O Jerusalem. 1

3Jerusalem is builded 1 As a city that is compact together: 1

4Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, 1 Unto the testimony of Israel, 1 To give thanks unto the name of the Lord. 1

5For there are set thrones of judgment, 1 The thrones of the house of David. 1

6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: 1 They shall prosper that love thee. 1

7Peace be within thy walls, 1 And prosperity within thy palaces. 1

8For my brethren and companions’ sakes, 1 I will now say, Peace be within thee. 1

9Because of the house of the Lord our God 1 I will seek thy good.
