Psalms 86
Bow down thine ear, O Lord, hear me: 1 For I am poor and needy. 1
Preserve my soul; for I am holy: 1 O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee. 1
Be merciful unto me, O Lord: 1 For I cry unto thee daily. 1
Rejoice the soul of thy servant: 1 For unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. 1
For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; 1 And plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. 1
Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; 1 And attend to the voice of my supplications. 1
In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: 1 For thou wilt answer me. 1
Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; 1 Neither are there any works like unto thy works. 1
All nations whom thou hast made shall come 1 And worship before thee, O Lord; 1 And shall glorify thy name. 1
For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: 1 Thou art God alone. 1
Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: 1 Unite my heart to fear thy name. 1
I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: 1 And I will glorify thy name for evermore. 1
For great is thy mercy toward me: 1 And thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. 1
O God, the proud are risen against me, 1 And the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; 1 And have not set thee before them. 1
But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, 1 Longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. 1
O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; 1 Give thy strength unto thy servant, 1 And save the son of thine handmaid. 1
Shew me a token for good; 1 That they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: 1 Because thou, Lord, hast holpen me, and comforted me.
