Psalms 82

1God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; 1 He judgeth among the gods. 1

2How long will ye judge unjustly, 1 And accept the persons of the wicked? Selah. 1

3Defend the poor and fatherless: 1 Do justice to the afflicted and needy. 1

4Deliver the poor and needy: 1 Rid them out of the hand of the wicked. 1

5They know not, neither will they understand; 1 They walk on in darkness: 1 All the foundations of the earth are out of course. 1

6I have said, Ye are gods; 1 And all of you are children of the most High. 1

7But ye shall die like men, 1 And fall like one of the princes. 1

8Arise, O God, judge the earth: 1 For thou shalt inherit all nations.
