Psalms 85

Lord, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: 1 Thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob. 1

Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, 1 Thou hast covered all their sin. Selah. 1

Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: 1 Thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger. 1

Turn us, O God of our salvation, 1 And cause thine anger towards us to cease. 1

Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? 1 Wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations? 1

Wilt thou not revive us again: 1 That thy people may rejoice in thee? 1

Shew us thy mercy, O Lord, 1 And grant us thy salvation. 1

I will hear what God the Lord will speak: 1 For he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: 1 But let them not turn again to folly. 1

Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; 1 That glory may dwell in our land. 1

Mercy and truth are met together; 1 Righteousness and peace have kissed each other. 1

Truth shall spring out of the earth; 1 And righteousness shall look down from heaven. 1

Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; 1 And our land shall yield her increase. 1

Righteousness shall go before him; 1 And shall set us in the way of his steps.
