Psalms 5
1Give ear to my words, O Lord, 1 Consider my meditation. 1
2Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: 1 For unto thee will I pray. 1
3My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; 1 In the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. 1
4For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: 1 Neither shall evil dwell with thee. 1
5The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: 1 Thou hatest all workers of iniquity. 1
6Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: 1 The Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man. 1
7But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: 1 And in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple. 1
8Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; 1 Make thy way straight before my face. 1
9For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; 1 Their inward part is very wickedness; 1 Their throat is an open sepulchre; 1 They flatter with their tongue. 1
10Destroy thou them, O God; 1 Let them fall by their own counsels; 1 Cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; 1 For they have rebelled against thee. 1
11But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: 1 Let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: 1 Let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. 1
12For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; 1 With favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
