Psalms 47

O clap your hands, all ye people; 1 Shout unto God with the voice of triumph. 1

For the Lord most High is terrible; 1 He is a great King over all the earth. 1

He shall subdue the people under us, 1 And the nations under our feet. 1

He shall choose our inheritance for us, 1 The excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah. 1

God is gone up with a shout, 1 The Lord with the sound of a trumpet. 1

Sing praises to God, sing praises: 1 Sing praises unto our King, sing praises. 1

For God is the King of all the earth: 1 Sing ye praises with understanding. 1

God reigneth over the heathen: 1 God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. 1

The princes of the people are gathered together, 1 Even the people of the God of Abraham: 1 For the shields of the earth belong unto God: 1 He is greatly exalted.
