Psalms 33
Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: 1 For praise is comely for the upright. 1
Praise the Lord with harp: 1 Sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. 1
Sing unto him a new song; 1 Play skilfully with a loud noise. 1
For the word of the Lord is right; 1 And all his works are done in truth. 1
He loveth righteousness and judgment: 1 The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. 1
By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; 1 And all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. 1
He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap: 1 He layeth up the depth in storehouses. 1
Let all the earth fear the Lord: 1 Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. 1
For he spake, and it was done; 1 He commanded, and it stood fast. 1
The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: 1 He maketh the devices of the people of none effect. 1
The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, 1 The thoughts of his heart to all generations. 1
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; 1 And the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. 1
The Lord looketh from heaven; 1 He beholdeth all the sons of men. 1
From the place of his habitation he looketh 1 Upon all the inhabitants of the earth. 1
He fashioneth their hearts alike; 1 He considereth all their works. 1
There is no king saved by the multitude of a host: 1 A mighty man is not delivered by much strength. 1
A horse is a vain thing for safety: 1 Neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. 1
Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, 1 Upon them that hope in his mercy; 1
To deliver their soul from death, 1 And to keep them alive in famine. 1
Our soul waiteth for the Lord: 1 He is our help and our shield. 1
For our heart shall rejoice in him, 1 Because we have trusted in his holy name. 1
Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, 1 According as we hope in thee.
