Psalms 143
Hear my prayer, O Lord, 1 Give ear to my supplications: 1 In thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness. 1
And enter not into judgment with thy servant: 1 For in thy sight shall no man living be justified. 1
For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; 1 He hath smitten my life down to the ground; 1 He hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead. 1
Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; 1 My heart within me is desolate. 1
I remember the days of old; 1 I meditate on all thy works; 1 I muse on the work of thy hands. 1
I stretch forth my hands unto thee: 1 My soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. 1
Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: 1 Hide not thy face from me, 1 Lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit. 1
Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; 1 For in thee do I trust: 1 Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; 1 For I lift up my soul unto thee. 1
Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: 1 I flee unto thee to hide me. 1
Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: 1 Thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. 1
Quicken me, O Lord, for thy name’s sake: 1 For thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble. 1
And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, 1 And destroy all them that afflict my soul: 1 For I am thy servant.
