Psalms 64
Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: 1 Preserve my life from fear of the enemy. 1
Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; 1 From the insurrection of the workers of iniquity: 1
Who whet their tongue like a sword, 1 And bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: 1
That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: 1 Suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not. 1
They encourage themselves in an evil matter: 1 They commune of laying snares privily; 1 They say, Who shall see them? 1
They search out iniquities; 1 They accomplish a diligent search: 1 Both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep. 1
But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; 1 Suddenly shall they be wounded. 1
So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: 1 All that see them shall flee away. 1
And all men shall fear, 1 And shall declare the work of God; 1 For they shall wisely consider of his doing. 1
The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in him; 1 And all the upright in heart shall glory.
