Psalms 142

I cried unto the Lord with my voice; 1 With my voice unto the Lord did I make my supplication. 1

I poured out my complaint before him; 1 I shewed before him my trouble. 1

When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, 1 Then thou knewest my path. 1 In the way wherein I walked 1 Have they privily laid a snare for me. 1

I looked on my right hand, and beheld, 1 But there was no man that would know me: 1 Refuge failed me; 1 No man cared for my soul. 1

I cried unto thee, O Lord: 1 I said, Thou art my refuge 1 And my portion in the land of the living. 1

Attend unto my cry; 1 For I am brought very low: 1 Deliver me from my persecutors; 1 For they are stronger than I. 1

Bring my soul out of prison, 1 That I may praise thy name: 1 The righteous shall compass me about; 1 For thou shalt deal bountifully with me.
