Psalms 36
The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, 1 That there is no fear of God before his eyes. 1
For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, 1 Until his iniquity be found to be hateful. 1
The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: 1 He hath left off to be wise, and to do good. 1
He deviseth mischief upon his bed; 1 He setteth himself in a way that is not good; 1 He abhorreth not evil. 1
Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; 1 And thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. 1
Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; 1 Thy judgments are a great deep: 1 O Lord, thou preservest man and beast. 1
How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! 1 Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. 1
They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; 1 And thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. 1
For with thee is the fountain of life: 1 In thy light shall we see light. 1
O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; 1 And thy righteousness to the upright in heart. 1
Let not the foot of pride come against me, 1 And let not the hand of the wicked remove me. 1
There are the workers of iniquity fallen: 1 They are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
