Psalms 60
O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, 1 Thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again. 1
Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: 1 Heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh. 1
Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: 1 Thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment. 1
Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, 1 That it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah. 1
That thy beloved may be delivered; 1 Save with thy right hand, and hear me. 1
God hath spoken in his holiness; 1 I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, 1 And mete out the valley of Succoth. 1
Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; 1 Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; 1 Judah is my lawgiver; 1
Moab is my washpot; 1 Over Edom will I cast out my shoe: 1 Philistia, triumph thou because of me. 1
Who will bring me into the strong city? 1 Who will lead me into Edom? 1
Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? 1 And thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies? 1
Give us help from trouble: 1 For vain is the help of man. 1
Through God we shall do valiantly: 1 For he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
