Psalms 132
Lord, remember David, 1 And all his afflictions: 1
How he sware unto the Lord, 1 And vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob; 1
Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, 1 Nor go up into my bed; 1
I will not give sleep to mine eyes, 1 Or slumber to mine eyelids, 1
Until I find out a place for the Lord, 1 A habitation for the mighty God of Jacob. 1
Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: 1 We found it in the fields of the wood. 1
We will go into his tabernacles: 1 We will worship at his footstool. 1
Arise, O Lord, into thy rest; 1 Thou, and the ark of thy strength. 1
Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; 1 And let thy saints shout for joy. 1
For thy servant David’s sake 1 Turn not away the face of thine anointed. 1
The Lord hath sworn in truth unto David; 1 He will not turn from it; 1 Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne. 1
If thy children will keep my covenant 1 And my testimony that I shall teach them, 1 Their children also shall sit upon thy throne for evermore. 1
For the Lord hath chosen Zion; 1 He hath desired it for his habitation. 1
This is my rest for ever: 1 Here will I dwell; for I have desired it. 1
I will abundantly bless her provision: 1 I will satisfy her poor with bread. 1
I will also clothe her priests with salvation: 1 And her saints shall shout aloud for joy. 1
There will I make the horn of David to bud: 1 I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed. 1
His enemies will I clothe with shame: 1 But upon himself shall his crown flourish.
