Psalms 105

O give thanks unto Hashem; call upon Shmo; 1 make known His deeds among the amim. 1

Sing unto Him, sing praise unto Him; 1 talk ye of all His nifle'ot (wondrous works). 1

Glory ye in the Shem Kadosh of Him; 1 let the lev of them that seek Hashem be glad. 1

Seek Hashem, and His oz (strength); 1 seek His face tamid. 1

Remember His nifla'ot (marvellous works) that He hath done; 1 His mofetim (wonders), and the mishpatim of His mouth; 1

O ye zera Avraham His eved, 1 ye Bnei Ya'akov His Bechirim (chosen ones). 1

He is Hashem Eloheinu; 1 His mishpatim are in kol ha'aretz. 1

He hath remembered His Brit l'olam, 1 the Dvar which He commanded to an elef dor (a thousand generations), 1

Which Brit He made with Avraham, 1 and His shevu'ah (oath) unto Yitzchak; 1

And confirmed the same unto Ya'akov for a chok (decree), 1 and to Yisroel as Brit Olam; 1

Saying, Unto thee will I give Eretz Kena'an, 1 the chevel (lot, portion) of your nachalah. 1

When they were but few in mispar (number), 1 very few, and gerim (strangers) in it. 1

When they went from one goy (nation) to another, 1 from one mamlachah (kingdom) to am acher (another people); 1

He permitted no adam to oppress them; 1 and He reproved melachim for their sakes; 1

Saying, Touch not Mine meshichim (anointed ones, My Messianics), 1 and do My nevi'im no harm. 1

Moreover He called for a ra'av (famine) upon ha'aretz; 1 He broke the kol matteh (whole staff of, all supply of) lechem. 1

He sent an ish before them, even Yosef, 1 who was sold as an eved (slave); 1

Whose regel they hurt with the kevel (shackle); 1 his nefesh was laid in barzel; 1

Until the time that his dvar (prophecy, word) came to pass; 1 the Imrat Hashem (revelation, word of G-d), + 105:19 i.e., revelation of that which set forth saving promises had tested him. 1

The Melech sent and released him, 1 the Moshel Amim, and set him free. 1

He made him adon of his bais, 1 and moshel of all his possessions; 1

To bind + 105:22 in prison his sarim (princes) at his pleasure; 1 and teach his zekenim chochmah. 1

Yisroel also came into Mitzrayim; 1 thus Ya'akov sojourned in Eretz Cham. 1

And He increased Amo (His people) greatly; 1 and made them stronger than their enemies. 1

He turned their lev to hate Amo, 1 to deal cunningly with His avadim. 1

He sent Moshe His Eved; 1 and Aharon whom He had chosen. 1

They showed His Otot (signs) among them, 1 and mofetim (wonders) in Eretz Cham. 1

He sent choshech, and made it dark; 1 and they rebelled not against His Devar. 1

He turned their mayim into dahm, 1 and made their dag (fish) die. 1

Their land brought forth tzfarde'im (frogs) in abundance, 1 even in the chadarim (rooms) of their melachim. 1

He spoke, and there came arov (flies), 1 and kinim (lice) in all their territory. 1

He gave them barad (hail) for geshem (rain), 1 and eish of lightning in their land. 1

He struck down their gefen also and their te'enah (fig tree); 1 and broke the trees of their territory. 1

He spoke, and the arbeh (locusts) came, 1 and grasshoppers, and that without number, 1

And did eat up all the esev (herbs) in their land, 1 and devoured their p'ri adamah (fruit of the ground). 1

He struck down also kol bechor in their land, 1 the reshit (firstfruit) of all their strength. 1

He brought them forth also with kesef and zahav; 1 and there was not one stumbling among His Shvatim (tribes). 1

Mitzrayim was glad when they departed; 1 for the pachad (terror, dread) of them had fallen upon them. 1

He spread an anan for a curtain; 1 and eish to give light in the lailah. 1

The people asked, and He brought slav (quails), 1 and satisfied them with the lechem Shomayim. 1

He opened the Tzur, and the mayim gushed out; 1 it ran in the dry places like a nahar. 1

For He remembered His Davar Kadosh, 1 and Avraham His eved. 1

And He brought forth His people with sasson, 1 and His chosen with joyful shouts; 1

And gave them the lands of the Goyim; 1 and they inherited the amal (labor, toil) of the amim; 1

That they might be shomer over His chukkot, 1 and observe His torot (laws). 1 Praise Hashem.
