Psalms 141

(Mizmor of Dovid) 1 give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto Thee. 1

Let my tefillah be set forth before Thee like ketoret; 1 and the lifting up of my hands as the minchat erev. 1

Be shomer, Hashem, over my mouth; 1 guard the door of my lips. 1

Let not my lev incline to any evil thing, 1 to practice wicked works 1 with men that work iniquity; 1 and let me not eat of their dainties. 1

Let the tzaddik strike me; it shall be chesed; 1 and let him reprove me; it shall be shemen, 1 which my rosh shall not refuse; 1 for still shall my tefillah be against their evil deeds. 1

Their shofetim are overthrown in stony places; 1 they hear my words; for they are pleasant. 1

Atzameinu (our bones) are scattered at the mouth of Sheol, 1 as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon ha'aretz. 1

But mine eyes are unto Thee, Hashem Adonoi; 1 in Thee do I take refuge; leave not my nefesh defenseless. 1

Keep me from the pach (snare, trap) which they have laid for me, 1 and the traps of the workers of iniquity. 1

Let the resha'im fall into their own nets, 1 while I escape safely.
