Psalms 66

1(For the one directing. Shir. Mizmor) 1

2Sing forth the kavod Shmo; 1 make kavod (glorious) His tehillah (praise). 1

3Say unto Elohim, How norah (awesome) art Thou in Thy ma'asim (works)! 1 Through the greatness of Thy oz (might) shall Thine oyevim cower before Thee. 1

4Kol ha'aretz shall prostrate before Thee, 1 and shall sing unto Thee; 1 they shall sing praise to Shimecha. 1 Selah 1

5Come and see the works of Elohim; 1 He is norah (awesome) in deed toward Bnei Adam. 1

6He turned + 66:6 haphakh the yam into yabashah (dry land); + 66:6 See Gn 1:10 1 they passed through the nahar on regel; 1 there did we rejoice in Him. 1

7He ruleth by His gevurah (power) olam (forever); 1 His eyes are a watchmanʼs eyes over the Goyim; 1 let not the sorerim (rebellious ones) exalt themselves. 1 Selah 1

8Barchu Eloheinu, Amim, 1 and make the kol (sound) of His tehillah (praise) to be heard. 1

9He is the One who set nafsheinu in chayyim 1 and does not permit ragleinu (our foot) to slip. 1

10For Thou, Elohim, hath tested us and hast proved us; 1 Thou hast put us in the crucibleʼs refining and refined us as kesef. 1

11Thou broughtest us into the metzudah (prison); 1 Thou laidst a mu'akah (burden) upon our loins. 1

12Thou hast caused enosh (mankind) to ride over rosheinu (our head); 1 we went through eish and through mayim; 1 but Thou broughtest us out into plenty. 1

13I will come into Thy Beis + 66:13 HaMikdash with olot; 1 I will fulfill for Thee my nedarim, 1

14Which my sfatayim have uttered, 1 and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in tzoros. 1

15I will offer unto Thee olot mekhim (burnt offerings of fat animals), 1 with the ketoret (incense, offering) of rams; 1 I will offer bakar with goats. 1 Selah 1

16Come and hear, Kol Yirei Elohim, 1 and I will declare what He hath done for my nefesh. 1

17I cried unto Him with my mouth, 1 and He was extolled with my leshon. 1

18If I regard avon (iniquity, sin) in my lev, 1 Adonoi will not hear me; 1

19But surely Elohim hath heard me; 1 He hath attended to the kol tefillati (voice of my prayer). 1

20Baruch Elohim, Who hath not turned away my tefillah, 1 nor His chesed from me.
