Psalms 23

(Mizmor of Dovid) 1 I shall not lack. 1

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; 1 He leadeth me beside the mei menuchot (tranquil waters). 1

He restoreth my nefesh; 1 He guideth me in the paths of tzedek l'ma'an Shmo 1 (righteousness for the sake of His Name). 1

Yea, though I walk through the Gey Tzalmavet (Valley of the Shadow of Death), 1 I will fear no rah (evil); 1 for Thou art with me; 1 Thy shevet (rod) and Thy staff they comfort me. 1

Thou preparest a shulchan before me 1 in the presence of mine enemies: 1 Thou anointest my head with shemen (olive oil); 1 my kos runneth over. 1

Surely tov and chesed shall follow me 1 kol y'mei chaiyyai (all the days of my life): 1 and I will dwell in the Bais Hashem 1 l'orech yamim (for length of days, whole life long, forever).
