Psalms 65
1(For the one directing. Mizmor Dovid. Shir) 1
2Tehillah (praise) is due Thee, O Elohim, in Tziyon; 1 And unto Thee shall the neder (vow) be performed. 1
3O Thou that hearest tefillah (prayer), 1 unto Thee shall kol basar come. 1
4Divrei avonot (instances of iniquity) overwhelm me; 1 as for peysha'einu (our transgressions), Thou hast made kapporah for them. 1
5Ashrei is the one whom Thou choosest, 1 and causest to come near unto Thee, 1 that he may dwell in Thy khatzerot; 1 we shall be satisfied with the tov of Thy Beis, 1 even of Thy Heikhal Kodesh. 1
6By nora'ot (awesome deeds, awe-inspiring things) of tzedek (justice) wilt Thou answer us, 1 O Elohei Yish'einu (G-d of our salvation); 1 Who art the hope of all the ends of eretz, 1 and of them that are on the farthest seas; 1
7Which by His ko'ach established the harim (mountains), 1 being girded with gevurah; 1
8Which stilleth the roar of the seas, 1 the roar of their waves, and the tumult of the Amim (peoples, nations). 1
9They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at Thy otot (signs); 1 Thou makest the outgoing exits of boker and erev to resound with joy. 1
10Thou visitest ha'aretz, and waterest it; 1 Thou greatly enrichest it with the peleg Elohim (fountain of G-d), 1 which is full of mayim; 1 Thou preparest them dagan (grain), for so Thou didst prepare it. 1
11Thou waterest the furrows thereof abundantly; 1 Thou settlest the ridges thereof; 1 Thou makest it soft with showers; 1 Thou blessest the tzemach (sprout, branch), + 65:11 See Zech 6:12 thereof. 1
12Thou crownest shnat tovatecha (the year with Thy goodness, bounty); 1 and Thy paths drip with plenty. 1
13They drip upon the pastures of the midbar; 1 and the hills are enrobed with gladness. 1
14The meadows are clothed with tzon; 1 the amakim (valleys) also are covered over with grain; 1 they shout for joy, they also sing.
