Psalms 27
(Of Dovid) 1 whom shall I fear? 1 Hashem is the ma'oz (stronghold) of my life; 1 of whom shall I be afraid? 1
When the resha'im, 1 even mine enemies and my foes, 1 came upon me to devour my basar, 1 they stumbled and fell. 1
Though an army should encamp against me, 1 my lev shall not fear; 1 though milchamah should break out against me, 1 in this will I be confident. 1
One thing have I asked of Hashem, 1 that will I seek after: 1 that I may dwell in the Bais Hashem 1 all the days of my life, 1 to behold the gracefulness of Hashem, 1 and to inquire in His Heikhal. 1
For in the Yom Ra'ah (day of evil) 1 He shall keep me safe in His Sukkah; 1 in the shelter of His Ohel shall He conceal me; 1 He shall set me up upon a Tzur (rock). 1
And now shall mine head be lifted up 1 above mine enemies around about me; 1 therefore will I offer in His Ohel sacrifices with shouts of joy; 1 I will sing, yea, I will make music unto Hashem. 1
Shema, Hashem, when I call with my voice; 1 chaneini also upon me, and answer me. 1
When my lev said of Thee, Seek ye My face, 1 my lev said unto Thee, Thy face, Hashem, will I seek. 1
Hide not Thy face far from me; 1 turn not Thy eved away in anger; 1 Thou hast been my ezer; leave me not, 1 neither forsake me, Elohei Yishi (G-d of my Salvation). 1
When avi and immi forsake me, 1 then Hashem will take me up. 1
Teach me Thy Derech, Hashem, 1 and lead me in a plain path, 1 because of mine enemies. 1
Deliver me not over unto the desire of mine enemies; 1 for edei sheker are risen up against me, 1 and such as breathe out chamas. 1
Did I not believe to see Hashemʼs goodness 1 in the Eretz Chayyim! 1
Wait for Hashem: Chazak! 1 And strengthen thine lev. 1 Wait, I say, for Hashem.
