Psalms 28
(Of Dovid) 1 do not turn a deaf ear to me: 1 lest, if Thou be silent to me, 1 I become like them that go down into the pit. 1
Shema (hear) kol (voice) of my supplications, when I cry unto Thee, 1 when I lift up my hands toward Thy Devir Kodesh 1 (Innermost Sanctuary, Kodesh HaKodashim). 1
Draw me not away with the resha'im, 1 and with the workers of iniquity, 1 which speak shalom to their neighbors, 1 but malice is in their hearts. 1
Give to them according to their deeds, 1 and according to the wickedness of their endeavors; 1 give them after the work of their hands; 1 render to them their gemul (deserts). 1
Because they regard not the Pe'ulot Hashem, 1 nor the Ma'aseh of His hands, 1 He shall tear them down, and not build them up. 1
Baruch Hashem, 1 because He hath heard the kol (voice) of my supplications. 1
Hashem is my strength and my mogen; 1 my lev trusts in Him, 1 and I am helped; 1 therefore my lev greatly rejoiceth; 1 and with my song will I thank Him. 1
Hashem is their oz (strength), 1 and He is the Ma'oz Yeshu'ot (saving refuge) of His Moshiach. 1
Save Thy people, and bless Thine nachalah; 1 shepherd them also, and carry them ad olam.
