1(Of the Bnei Korach. A mizmor. A shir) 1

2Hashem loveth the sha'arei Tziyon 1 more than all the mishkenot Ya'akov. 1

3Glorious things are spoken of thee, 1 O Ir HaElohim. 1 Selah 1

4To them that know me, I will make mention of Rachav and Babylon; 1 hinei, Philistia, and Tzor, with Ethiopia: 1 this man was born there. 1

5But of Tziyon it shall be said, 1 This one and that one were born in her; 1 and Elyon Himself shall establish it. 1

6Hashem shall register, when He writeth up the people, 1 that this one was born there. 1 Selah 1

7The sharim (ones singing) as well as the cholelim (players on instruments) shall be there; 1 all my fountains are in thee.
