Psalms 50

(Mizmor of Asaph) 1 from the mizrach shemesh (rising of sun) unto the going down thereof. 1

Out of Tziyon, the perfection of yofi, 1 Elohim shineth forth. 1

Eloheinu shall come, and shall not keep silent; 1 an eish shall devour before Him, 1 and it shall be tempestuous me'od round about Him. 1

He shall summon Shomayim from above, 1 and ha'aretz, that He may judge His people. 1

Gather My chasidim together unto Me; 1 those that have cut a Brit (covenant) with Me by zevach (blood sacrifice). + 50:5 cf Gn 4:5 on the true Jewish religion 1

And Shomayim shall declare His tzedek; 1 for Elohim Shofet hu. 1 Selah 1

Hear, O My people, and I will speak; 1 O Yisroel, and I will testify against thee; 1 I am Elohim, even Eloheicha. 1

I will not reprove thee for thy zevakhim. 1 And thy olot are before Me tamid. 1

I will accept no par (bull) from thy bais, 1 nor he-goats out of thy folds. 1

For every beast of the ya'ar (forest) is Mine, 1 and the behemot upon a thousand hills. 1

I know kol oph (every bird) of the harim; 1 and the animals of the wild are Mine. 1

If I were hungry, I would not tell thee; 1 for the tevel is Mine, and the fulness thereof. 1

Will I eat the basar of bulls, 1 or drink the dahm of goats? 1

Sacrifice unto Elohim todah; 1 and pay thy nedarim (vows, pledges) unto Elyon; 1

And call upon Me in the Yom Tzarah; 1 I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me. 1

But unto the rasha, Elohim saith, 1 What right hast thou to declare My chukkot, 1 or that thou shouldest take My Brit in thy mouth? 1

Seeing thou hatest musar (correction), 1 and casteth My devarim behind thee. 1

When thou sawest a ganav (thief), 1 then thou consentedst with him, 1 and hast taken thy chelek (lot) with mena'afim (adulterers). 1

Thou lettest loose thy mouth to ra'ah, 1 and thy leshon frameth mirmah (deceit). 1

Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; 1 thou slanderest thine own ben immecha. 1

These things hast thou done, and I kept silent; 1 thou thoughtest that I was altogether like thee; 1 but I will reprove thee, and set the charge before thine eyes. 1

Now consider this, ye that forget Elo'ah (G-d), 1 lest I tear you to pieces, and there be none to rescue. 1

Whoso offereth todah glorifieth Me; 1 and to him that ordereth his derech aright 1 will I show the Salvation of Elohim.
