Psalms 19
(For the one directing. Mizmor Dovid) 1
HaShomayim declare the kavod of G-d; 1 and the raki'a (firmament) showeth His handiwork. 1
Yom unto yom uttereth speech, 1 and lailah unto lailah showeth da'as. 1
There is no speech nor devarim (language), 1 where their voice is not heard. 1
Their measuring line is gone out through kol ha'aretz, 1 and their words to the end of the tevel (world). 1 In them hath He set an ohel for the shemesh, 1
Which is like a choson coming out of his chuppah, 1 and rejoiceth as a gibbor to run a race. 1
Its going forth is from the end of HaShomayim, 1 and its circuit unto the ends of it; 1 and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. 1
The torah of Hashem is temimah, 1 converting the nefesh, + 19:8 T.N. hithapekh Ps 66:6; 2C 5:17 1 the edut of Hashem is ne'emanah, 1 making wise the simple. 1
The precepts of Hashem are yasharim (right), 1 rejoicing the lev; 1 the mitzvat Hashem is bara (clear, pure), 1 enlightening the eyes. 1
The yirat Hashem (fear of the L-rd) is tehorah (clean), 1 enduring forever; 1 the mishpatim of Hashem are emes 1 and righteous altogether. 1
More to be desired are they than zahav, 1 yea, than much fine gold; 1 sweeter also than devash and the honeycomb. 1
Moreover by them is Thy eved warned; 1 and in being shomer over them there is great reward. 1
Who can discern his errors? 1 Cleanse Thou me from nistarot (secret ones). 1
Keep back Thy eved also from presumptuous sins; 1 let them not have dominion over me; 1 then shall I be upright, 1 and I shall be innocent from the peysha rav (great transgression). 1
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my lev, 1 be acceptable in Thy sight, 1 O Hashem, my Tzur (rock), and Go'ali (my Redeemer).
