Psalms 129
(Shir HaMa'alot) 1 may Yisroel now say; 1
Many a time have they afflicted me from my ne'ur (youth); 1 yet they have not prevailed against me. 1
The choreshim (plowers) plowed upon my back; 1 they made long their furrows. 1
Hashem is tzaddik; 1 He hath cut asunder the cords of the resha'im. 1
Let them all be confounded 1 and turned back that hate Tziyon. + 129:5 i.e, all anti-Semites 1
Let them be as the khatzir (grass) upon the housetops, 1 which withereth before it groweth up; 1
With it the kotzer (reaper) filleth not his yad; 1 nor he that gathereth sheaves, his bosom. 1
Neither do they which go by say, 1 Birkat Hashem be upon you; 1 we bless you b'Shem Hashem.
