Psalms 68
1(For the one directing. Of Dovid. Mizmor. Shir) 1
2Let Elohim arise, let His oyevim be scattered; 1 let them also that hate Him flee before Him. 1
3As ashan (smoke) is blown away, 1 so drive them away; as wax melteth before the eish, 1 so let the resha'im perish at the presence of Elohim. 1
4But let the tzaddikim have simchah; 1 let them rejoice before Elohim; 1 and, let them rejoice with simchah. 1
5Sing unto Elohim, 1 sing praises to Shmo; 1 extol Him that rideth on the clouds by Shmo Hashem, 1 and rejoice before Him. 1
6Avi yetomim (father of orphans), and a dayan (judge) of almanot (widows), 1 is Elohim in His Ma'on Kodesh. 1
7Elohim setteth the yechidim (alone ones) in a family; 1 He bringeth out those which are asirim (prisoners, those bound with chains); 1 but the sorerim (rebels) dwell in a dry land. 1
8O Elohim, when Thou wentest forth before Thy people, 1 when Thou didst march through the wilderness; 1 Selah; 1
9Eretz shook, Shomayim also poured rain at the presence of Elohim; 1 even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of Elohim, Elohei Yisroel. 1
10Thou, O Elohim, didst send a plentiful geshem (rain), 1 whereby Thou didst restore Thine nachalah, when it was parched. 1
11Thy congregation hath dwelt therein; 1 Thou, O Elohim, hast prepared of Thy bounty for the oni. 1
12Adonoi gave the word; 1 rav (great) was the tzava (company, army) 1 of the mevaserot (heralds, those that published it, the lady evangelists). 1
13Melachim of tzeva'ot (armies) shall flee, they flee; 1 and she that tarried at home shall divide the plunder. 1
14Though ye have lain among the cooking pots, 1 yet shall ye be as the wings of a yonah covered with kesef, 1 and her feathers with glistening gold. 1
15When Shaddai scattered melachim therein, 1 it was white as snow in Tzalmon. 1
16The Har Elohim is the Har Bashan; 1 a mountain of peaks is the Har Bashan. 1
17Why gaze ye in envy, ye many-peaked harim? 1 This is the har which Elohim hath chosen to dwell in; 1 indeed, Hashem will dwell in it lanetzach (forever). 1
18The merkavot of Elohim are myriads, 1 a thousand thousands; 1 Adonoi is among them, as in Sinai, in kodesh (holiness). 1
19Thou hast ascended on marom (high), 1 Thou hast led captivity captive; 1 Thou hast received mattanot among adam; 1 yes, even from the sorerim (the rebellious) also, that Hashem Elohim might dwell. + 68:19 there 1
20Baruch Adonoi, 1 Who yom yom bears us up, 1 even HaEl Yeshu'ateinu (the G-d of our salvation). 1 Selah 1
21Our G-d is a G-d who saves; 1 and from Hashem Adonoi come escapes from mavet (death). 1
22But Elohim shall shatter the rosh of His oyevim, 1 and the hairy kodkod (crown of the head, scalp) of such a one as continueth on in his trespasses. 1
23Adonoi said, I will bring back from Bashan, 1 I will bring back from the depths of the sea; 1
24That thy regel may be bathed in dahm, 1 that the leshon of thy klavim (dogs) may partake of the oyevim. 1
25They have seen Thy processions, O Elohim; 1 even the goings of my G-d, my Melech, in the Kodesh. 1
26The sharim (singers) went before, the nogenim (players on instruments) followed after; 1 among them were the alamot (young unmarried virgins) playing timbrels. 1
27Barchu Elohim in the congregations, 1 even Hashem, out of the Makor Yisroel (Fountain of Israel). 1
28There is Binyamin, the youngest at the head; 1 the sarim (princes) of Yehudah and the throng of them, 1 the sarim (princes) of Zevulun, and the sarim (princes) of Naphtali. 1
29Eloheicha hath commanded thy oz; 1 strengthen, O Elohim, that which Thou hast wrought for us. 1
30Because of Thy Heikhal at Yerushalayim 1 shall melachim bring offerings unto Thee. 1
31Rebuke the chayat kaneh, 1 the adat (herd) of bulls, 1 with the agalim (calves) of the nations, 1 till every one prostrate himself with ingots of kesef; He scatters the people that delight in wars. 1
32Magnates shall come out of Mitzrayim; 1 Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto Elohim. 1
33Sing unto Elohim, ye mamlechot of ha'aretz; 1 O sing praises unto Adonoi. 1 Selah 1
34To Him that rideth upon the skies of Shomayim of old; 1 lo, He doth send out His voice, and that a kol oz (mighty voice). 1
35Ascribe ye oz (power) unto Elohim; 1 His majesty is over Yisroel, 1 and His oz is in the skies. 1
36O Elohim, Thou art norah (awesome, terrible) out of Thy Mikdashim; 1 the El (G-d) of Yisroel is He that giveth oz and strength unto His people. 1 Baruch Elohim.
