Psalms 4
(For the one directing. With stringed instruments. Mizmor Dovid) 1
Hear me when I call, Elohei tzidki (O G-d of my righteousness); 1 Thou hast relieved me when I was in distress; 1 channeini, and hear my tefillah. 1
O ye Bnei Ish, 1 how long will ye turn my kavod into shame? 1 How long will ye love delusion, 1 and seek kazav (lie, falsehood)? Selah 1
But know that Hashem hath set apart the chasid for Himself; 1 Hashem will hear when I call unto Him. 1
Be angry, yet sin not; 1 commune with your own levav upon your mishkav, 1 and be still. Selah 1
Offer the zivkhei-tzedek, 1 and put your trust in Hashem. 1
There be many that say, Who will show us any tov? 1 Hashem, lift Thou up the ohr of Thy countenance upon us. 1
Thou hast put simcha in my lev, 1 more than in the time that their dagan and their tirosh increased. 1
In shalom I will both lay me down, and sleep, 1 for Thou alone, Hashem, makest me dwell in safety.
