Psalms 9

(For the one directing. To The Death of the Son. Mizmor of Dovid) 1

I will give thanks to Thee, Hashem, with kol lev of me; 1 I will show forth all Thy marvellous works. 1

I will be glad and rejoice in Thee; 1 I will sing praise to Thy Shem, O Thou Elyon. 1

When mine oyevim are turned back, 1 they shall fall and perish at Thy presence. 1

For Thou hast maintained my mishpat and my cause; 1 Thou as Shofet Tzedek dost sit on the kisse. 1

Thou hast rebuked the Goyim, 1 Thou hast destroyed the wicked, 1 Thou hast blotted out their shem l'olam va'ed. 1

Choravot lanetzach (endless ruins) have come to the enemy: 1 and Thou hast rooted out cities; 1 their memory is perished with them. 1

But Hashem shall reign l'olam; 1 He hath established His kisse (throne) for mishpat. 1

And He shall judge the tevel (world) in tzedek, 1 He shall govern the nations with justice. 1

Hashem also will be a refuge for the oppressed, 1 a stronghold in times of tzoros. 1

And they that know Shemecha will put their trust in Thee; 1 for Thou, Hashem, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee. 1

Sing praises to Hashem, enthroned in Tziyon; 1 declare among the nations His deeds. 1

When He avenges + 9:13 shefach dahm, He remembereth them; 1 He forgetteth not the cry of the aniyim (humble, afflicted, the helpless ones). 1

Have mercy upon me, 1 Hashem; consider my sufferings which I suffer of them that hate me, 1 Thou that liftest me up from the sha'arei mavet (gates of death); 1

That I may show forth all Thy praise in the Sha'arei Bat Tziyon. 1 I will rejoice in Thy Yeshu'ah (salvation). 1

The Goyim are sunk down 1 in the shachat (pit) that they dug; 1 in the reshet (net) which they hid 1 is their own foot caught. 1

Hashem is known by the mishpat which He executeth; 1 the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. 1 Higgayon. Selah 1

The resha'im shall be turned into Sheol, 1 and all the Goyim that forget Elohim. 1

For the needy shall not always be forgotten; 1 the tikveh of the poor shall not perish forever. 1

Arise, Hashem; 1 let not enosh (mankind) prevail; let the Goyim be judged in Thy sight. 1

Put them in terror, Hashem; that the Goyim may know themselves to be but enosh. 1 Selah
