Psalms 76

2In Yehudah is Elohim known; 1 Shmo is gadol in Yisroel. 1
3In Shalem + 76:3 i.e., Yerushalayim also is His Sukkah, 1 and His Ma'on (dwelling place) in Tziyon. + 76:3 See Yochanan chp 14 1
4There He broke the flashing arrows, 1 the mogen, and the cherev, and the milchamah. 1 Selah 1
5Thou art more glorious and adir (majestic) 1 than the mountains of prey. 1
6The stouthearted are plundered; 1 now their last sleep they sleep; 1 and none of the anshei chayil can find their hands. 1
7At Thy rebuke, O Elohei Ya'akov, 1 both the merkavah and sus are cast into a dead sleep. 1
8Thou, even Thou, art to be feared; 1 and who may stand in Thy sight 1 when once Thou art angry? 1
9Thou didst pronounce din (sentence, judgment) from Shomayim; 1 Eretz feared, and was still, 1
10When Elohim arose to mishpat, 1 to save all the meek of Eretz. 1 Selah 1
11Surely the chamat adam (the wrath of man) shall praise Thee; 1 the she'erit (remnant, survivor) of wrath shalt Thou restrain. + 76:11 from doing evil 1
12Make neder (vow), and pay unto Hashem Eloheichem; 1 let all that be around Him bring gifts unto Him that ought to be feared. 1
13He shall cut short the ruach of negidim (nobles); 1 He is fearsome to the Malkhei-Aretz (Kings of the Earth).
